In 1996, imminent logging of the red gum wetland forest led the community to gather to object and fight to get the State Forest upgraded to a park. It took 15 years, but we did it. Participating in a VEAC process and joining with other conservation groups in Vic and NSW to protect public red gum forests along the Murray River.
