Whether they are along a coastline or beside a river or creek or upon bushland area in a regional park or within an urban landscape, we appreciate everything that Friend Groups do and believe they should be celebrated.
Our VEFN Awards recognise and reward the extraordinary work that is performed by members of Friend Groups. Some awards acknowledge individuals, while others recognise the work of the whole team, and the connections made within the landscape.
The awards are independently judged and awarded based on the criteria provided within the nomination form.
The award ceremony is held in conjunction with our AGM and provides a forum to showcase the amazing work that Friend Groups conduct as well as an opportunity to network with other Friend Groups from across Victoria.
This is our traditional way of recognising people who go above and beyond in their group. These people are active participants, support others, demonstrate leadership, advocate and make a personal impact on their area.
The Best Friend Award is open for nominations from the 1st July and closes on the 31st August.
