Help strengthen environmental volunteering across Victoria

The Victorian Environment Friends Network (VEFN) exists to connect, inspire, engage and empower the people protecting Victoria’s natural environment.

Every day, thousands of volunteers across our network restore habitats, care for waterways, advocate for biodiversity and build stronger, more resilient communities. By joining VEFN, you’ll help support and strengthen this work, creating lasting benefits for both people and nature.

Whether your expertise is in project delivery, communications, community engagement or another professional field, working with VEFN offers the opportunity to apply your skills to meaningful environmental outcomes while collaborating with passionate volunteers, community leaders and partner organisations across Victoria.

Why work with us?

As Victoria’s peak body supporting environmental Friends groups, VEFN represents a network of more than 180 environmental Friends groups and over 16,000 volunteers working together to protect and restore our natural environment.

Working with VEFN provides the opportunity to:

  • Make a genuine contribution to environmental conservation and community capacity building.
  • Support and strengthen one of Australia’s largest environmental volunteer networks.
  • Work collaboratively with Friends groups, Landcare, councils, Parks Victoria, DEECA and other environmental organisations.
  • Enjoy flexible working arrangements while delivering meaningful outcomes.
  • Help shape projects that build stronger communities and healthier landscapes.
